Dunaliella salina
Dunaliella salina is a highly versatile microalgae used in a variety of industries. Rich in beta-carotene, it’s commonly found in nutritional supplements to support skin health and vision. In cosmetics, its antioxidant properties help combat aging and protect against UV damage. The algae’s natural pigments also make it a valuable ingredient in food coloring, especially for health-conscious consumers. Additionally, it serves as a nutrient-rich additive in animal feed and is being explored for biofuel production due to its high lipid content. These diverse applications make Dunaliella salina a sought-after resource.
